Dan Berkson
Originally trained as a classical pianist, Berkson was drawn into the world of blues and boogie woogie thanks to his music teacher in Chicago before going on to study jazz at the New England Conservatory of Music. In London he studied at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire for Music & Dance. His influences range from Charlie Haden, Carla Bley, Keith Jarrett, and Ornette Colman, to Detroit legends Theo Parrish and Moodymann.
